I worked at a store there too, I could see GNC right across the hall out the windows in the back. It was awesome. I wish they would reopen it. I assume most will get destroyed from Burlington Coat moving in.

I ran the Arcades at Riverside and Sangertown. Worked for them from 87 through 2004 as we were closing them. I had my district office in the Riverside location. Lots of great decent people worked in the Riverside Mall. Orange Julius girls, and the pretzel shop were the best!

I managed the Recordland store back in 83 - 84. I was just a kid then, moved to Utica from Cleveland, Ohio. Had a great time, loved your city.

Wow. I used to be a manager at Oola Candy there in the early 1990s while stationed at Griffiss..lots of good memories..I still remember the Sicilian delight guys yelling as you walked through the food court...I had a wicked crush on a girls that worked at B. Moss..then one day they called and told us not to open the next day. Gone that fast...crazy.

Man, that brings back some memories. That ramp / stairs (i think) was in front of the RadioShak. I rollerskated through the whole place once, Bradleys to Wards, got kicked out. I remember when it opened, and there was a fitness club in there with a pool. They filled it in and put in a US fed Credit Union over it. My sister had a job at the food counter in Bradleys. There was this white-haired kid that was always in the arcade. KayBe T&H, the liquer store, seeing Dune, ID4, and Batman @ the Cinema, meeting one of the models from that leather store (Julia), GroundRound, Wongs Chinese,...

I grew up around the base from 1974-1988 (dad was in the AF), then I was stationed there from 1989-1992. So weird watching all of the places I grew up get boarded up and torn down. Excellent pictures. Does anyone remember large flowing water fountains inside the mall? (or did I just dream that?) Would have been in the late 70s I think. My girlfriend worked at Claire's, and my favorite spots were Waldenbooks and the awesome arcade. Oh - and Mom worked at Bradlees! Wow. Anyway - thanks for the memories. Living a different life in Pittsboro, NC now (near Raleigh/Durham). I miss CNY in the fall. Cheers...

Wow, didn't even know the building was still there! I moved away from Utica in 1991 for college and officially just moved to TX this past week. But this bring back some memories for sure.

This mall to me was the one mostly the "older" people went to, the "serious" mall ;) lol

I worked at riverside theater from 1983 till 1994...and Barbara moss as a stockboy from 83 to 84. I LOVED THAT PLACE!! Went to movies for free till it closed in 2005. Pure magic. Dated girls from Orange Julius, Original Cookie co, and the Cinemas...miss the arcade...food court...pavones pizza...Rave (all the hot girls shopped there)...I remember that weird Burger King with the upstairs bathroom...those photos were awesome BTW...but they leave me sad. I have pics I took of the last day of the original 3 screen theater before they changed it in 1990...now I have to find them...
